Where is Hammersmith

Hammersmith, or affectionally nicknamed Hammertown by locals, is in inner west London. It’s a popular choice with Antipodeans who flock to the suburb in droves.

Public transport

Hammersmith is located on the Piccadilly, Hammersith and City and District Lines and has a number of buses and night buses that service the area.

Shopping in Hammersmith

The Hammersmith Broadway has a Tesco supermarket and a selection of other stores including Accessorise, WH Smith and a Disney Store. The high street in the area is Kings Road, home to Primark, TK Maxx, Argos and Marks and Spencer. There’s also a Sainsburys here, and a Tesco superstore is about 10 minutes walk on the way to Shepherd’s Bush.

The area isn’t really renowned for its restaurants, but there are a few pubs handy where you’ll be able to get some pub food and a few pints.
