Food and drink

The area is hardly a culinary haven, but there are plenty of good pubs and restaurants a short bus ride away. Here are few in the immediate area:

Best Mangal

There are two of these Turkish restaurants on North End Road and they’re a cut above your standard kebab joints.

The Cumberland Arms

A quality pub with a nice outdoor area for summer pints. The food on offer is also much better than normal pub fare.

Famous 3 Kings

Good for watching sport, but not much else. Soulless pub, unless you’re cheering on your team. .
