Following its European on-stage premiere at the Coliseum in London this July, The Australian Ballet’s spectacular production of Cinderella, starring Lana Jones and Daniel Gaudiello, will be screened in UK cinemas for one night only on Wednesday 23rd November 2016.

Witty, vibrant, glamorous and romantic, this critically-acclaimed production was created by Alexei Ratmansky, one of the world’s most sought after choreographers. It succeeds in filling every bar of Prokofiev’s cinematic score as he follows Cinderella’s journey from rags to rapture.

Cinema audiences are invited to witness the spectacular designs by Jerome Kaplan whose sophisticated designs draw inspiration from Dior, Schiaparelli, the elegance of 1940s Hollywood, and Surrealist art.

David McAllister, Artistic Director of The Australian Ballet says: “It’s exciting to take our company and performances from the stage to the big screen and to reach audiences we may not have otherwise reached. This is an incredible opportunity to showcase Australia’s national ballet company.”
