Due to the ongoing civil war in Syria since March 2011, over two million refugees have fled their country, half of which are children. According to the UN, this is the worst refugee crisis since the 1994 Rwandan genocide.

Syrian Art: Of Today is both an art show and a humanitarian project aiming at supporting talent from Syria at a time of crisis and civil unrest.

VC ART has chosen five gifted Syrian artists between the ages of 21 and 42, who have proven individual artistic talents (Fadi Al Hamwi, Tarek Butayhi, Mohamad Khayata, Thaer Maarouf and Ashraf Raheb).

The exhibition will give them the opportunity to hopefully be discovered by the art community in London, while also giving the local community the opportunity to help support talent from a war-torn region.

When: April 2 - 5

Where: 18 Maddox Street, Mayfair, London, W1S 1PL
