Give the sitcoms a rest and make your way to Camden this August to see these cheap, hilarious comedy acts at the Camden Fringe.

Simon Feilder: All things I’m Not

If his stand-up manages to live up to his YouTube channel (KidCapricorn), Simon Feilder will make for a very entertaining show. He juggles witty observational humour—low key and subdued—with the occasional offensive hammer, while sticking to his feel good roots. He’d previously been doing the Camden Fringe as a duo with Simon Sy Thomas, but this will be his first solo.

Etcetera Theatre | 6:00pm
24 & 25 August | £7.00 (£5.00 concessions)
Camden Town | NW1 7BU ‎

Four Femmes on the Thames

Life, love, sex: popular territories traversed by comedians since the dawn of the microphone. But the Four Femmes on the Thames, clad in vintage, silk dresses, offer their spin on time’s oldest conundrums in the form of song. They’ve been called ”faultless, well-polished, and funny with perfect harmonies”. Their melodious rifts of jazz, swing and contemporary music accompany their visceral view of the world.

Canal Cafe Theatre | 7:30pm
9 & 10 August | £12.00 (concessions: £10.00)
Warwick Avenue | W2 6NG

Danny Buckler

Combining stand-up, improv, storytelling, and a good deal of magic, Danny Buckler is making a name for himself in the UK comedy circuit. His audience participation skills and keen impersonations have made him a favourite for cruise lines and theatres all over Europe. He’s a zany performer, and Mr Buckler can stir a crowd quick.

Upstairs at the Gatehouse | £12.00 (concessions: £10.00)
10 August at 7:30pm | 11 August at 6:30pm
Highgate | N6 4DB

Daliso Chaponda

Probably the only Malawi-born comic coming to the Fringe, Daliso Chaponda has travelled the world (after being deported from Canada) offering funny insights on what divides different cultures. For instance, his home country is so conservative women only wear long skirts, but in Amsterdam they have porno movie theatres. Poking fun at his own displacement anxieties, he’s perfect for London's international scene.

The Camden Head | 6:30pm
August  11, 12, and 13 | £7.50 (concessions: £5.00)
Camden Town | NW1 0LU

Iszi Lawrence

A comedian, illustrator and artist, Iszi Lawrence brings something of an artful air to her stand-up. With spiked white hair, black-framed glasses, and often sporting a suit and tie, she has tremendous punk ‘watchability’ and stage presence. This multi-talented performer is a living rebuttal to the “women aren’t funny” brigade, and she’s more than comfortable in her anecdotal, aside style of humour.

The Camden Head | 8:00pm
August  7, 8, 9, 10 & 11 | £7.50 (concessions: £5.00)
Camden Town | NW1 0LU
