Following its highly successful launch last year, the free Finding the Future seminar features panels and presentations including wide-ranging topics such as careers in digital and new media, artist relations and events, reaching the modern consumer, the international music market, artist management and entrepreneurship, music publishing, and song writing.

City Showcase has announced the artist line up for Finding the Future 2015 at the Apple Store, 18-20 November between 1-30pm and 7-30pm, with breaking acts, Louis Mattrs, Emma McGrath, and CoCo And The Butterfields, taking part in the ‘Meet The Future’ sessions as well as other new artists appearing in CS Masterclasses.

The ‘Meet The Future’ sessions feature heavily tipped new acts appearing between 7 and 7-30pm each day with publishers, managers and labels presenting their new writers/artists who will perform and answer questions led by the PRS for Music and The PRS For Music Foundation. Last year’s ‘Meet The Future’ featured Island Records new signing Nick Brewer, whose recent single release ‘Talk To Me’ Featuring Bibi Bourelly charted strongly in the UK Top 10.

Louis Mattrs first came to light in 2013 when his Youtube mixtape caught the attention of Chase & Status. They collaborated on the Top 10 single ‘Lost & Not Found’, which sold 250,000 copies, leading to festival dates at Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds. ‘War With Heaven’ from his debut EP was premiered as Zane Lowe’s ‘Next Hype’ on BBC Radio 1 and featured on US rapper Meek Mill’s album trailer for ‘Dreams Worth More Than Money’. Louis is planning to release his debut album in 2016.

Emma McGrath is a 15-year old songwriter and performer from Hertfordshire.  She released her first EP, ‘The Judgement’ in November 2014, and received BBC Radio 2 plays from Dermot O’Leary, and had one of her tracks chosen as BBC Introducing ‘Track of the Week’ on BBC 3 Counties. She has also played the prestigious 100 Club on Oxford Street. Emma is currently studying for her GCSEs as well as her Grade 8 guitar exam, while working on her new EP.

CoCo and the Butterfields began life as buskers in Canterbury, Kent. After beating off 10,000 competitors to win the UK Live and Unsigned competition in 2012, they toured the UK playing sell out shows and quickly becoming a festival favourites, performing at Glastonbury, Isle of Wight Festival, Bestival and Greenbelt. 2015 has seen CoCo and the Butterfields complete their second UK tour, sell out London's prestigious Jazz Cafe and perform at one of Europe's biggest festivals - Colours of Ostrava.

Finding The Future will also feature artists, Charlene, Joe Jury, Peter C Swash, and James Henry, taking part in the City Showcase Masterclasses.
