Reclaiming lost Australian cultural territory Bush Gothic perform tales of Australia's dark history re-told. Songs of criminal women and convict men, treachery and transportation have been dragged out of the songbooks, ripped apart, then lovingly put back together as a reminder that our history never leaves us.
Their new album The Natural Selection Australian Song Book is a dark and tumultuous collection of ten Australian folk songs that have been ripped out of the dusty old songbooks and then lovingly put back together by Bush Gothic with assistance from The Lonely String Quartet.
Bush Gothic are performing at The Slaughtered Lamb, 34-35 Great Sutton Street, Clerkenwell, EC1V 0DX - Saturday 27 August Doors open 7:30pm, Live Music 8:15pm.
