The former 'Suits' actress is to be immortalised as a wax model at the London attraction ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry on May 19th

Madame Tussauds made the announcement outside Buckingham Palace, through traditional Town Crier  Anthony Appleton.

He revealed: "Oyez! Oyez! Edward Fuller, general manager of Madame Tussauds London, is proud to announce the imminent arrival of her royal likeness Meghan Markle."

In reference to her starring role legal drama 'Suits', he added: "The future princess, bride-to-be and queen of the courtroom will be safely delivered to the world-famous London attraction in early May, 2018.

"Meghan will take her place beside her future husband Prince Harry."

Details of the waxwork's outfit are being kept strictly under wraps until it is unveiled ahead of the happy couple's big day.

Meghan is set to marry Harry at Windsor Castle's St. George's Chapel on May 19

The couple recently revealed they have chosen a lemon and elderflower cake for their nuptials.

Meghan and Harry have chosen Californian-born pastry chef Claire Ptak, who runs London-based bakery Violet, to create the cake they will share with guests in celebration.

The wedding cake will be flavoured with lemon and elderflower to "incorporate the bright flavours of spring", and be covered with buttercream and decorated with fresh flowers.

Kensington Palace announced: "Claire Ptak, who was raised in California, focuses on using seasonal and organic ingredients in her cakes. Ms. Markle previously interviewed Chef Ptak for her former lifestyle website The Tig. Prince Harry and Ms. Markle are looking forward to sharing the cake with guests at their wedding at Windsor Castle on May 19th."
