Beowulf, Rosemary Branch Theatre, Islington/Hackney

Christmas is the time for pantomimes but this little north London theatre is mixing it up by adapting Beowulf, the ye olde epic poem, to the stage.

Beowulf is a tough Norse warrior who gets roped in to killing a nasty monster called Graendal but, as ever, nothing goes according to plan. Hijinks and hilarity inevitably ensue.
