All things Bagpuss and Clangers, the stars of one of Britain’s most iconic children’s shows, will feature in a West London pop-up shop. Original fans of the 1970s cult programme can expect some nostalgic moments, with the chance to clap eyes on the saggy cloth Bagpuss puppet used in the show as well as his friends Gabriel, Madeline, Professor Yaffle and the singing mice.
Decorated on the inside with original sketches from the show’s creators, Peter Firmin and Oliver Postgate, and fashioned on the outside so as to replicate Emily’s famous Bagpuss store from the show, Bagpuss & Co will be a visual feast for visitors.
The windows will be filled with a plethora of lost and broken treasures, too. Of course, there’ll be an opportunity to part with your money, with everything from toys and greeting cards, to DVDs and even microwavable Bagpuss slippers to buy.
Open Tue, Oct 25 until Sun, Oct 30
144-151 Queensway, W2 4YN
