Britain's job market has continued to strengthen, with the latest data showing that London vacancies surged by an impressive 52% in 2014.

Administration, construction and accounting are prime areas where the number of jobs has risen dramatically, attracting a volley of applications, according to CV-Library findings.

The independent job board analysed its job postings and applications for all roles within a 12.5 mile radius of London, and observeda 52% rise in jobs posted or renewed in 2014. In September alone, there was a 20% boost.

The UK housing market boom has been instrumental in bringing this huge rise in jobs. You can’t build homes without workers after all. Someone needs to deal with the finances too. So, if you have knowledge in these areas then get applying.

This is great news for job seekers with diverse experience. If you like laying bricks with low-slung tracksuit bottoms, or prefer to remain seated and take a more supervisory role, fantastic prospects lie ahead.

If you’re a construction worker with experience, you could find it far easier to secure a job; though, of course that is not concrete (boom boom tish).

Candidate interest in these job postings is expected to continue growing, so you had better get a move on. CV-Library recorded a 6% increase in job applications in August and September, and a 3% rise year on year.

Around 20% of total applications were for administration positions, while interest in construction jobs topped that for employment in accounting, finance and insurance.

You budding accountants that get excited by numbers must be almost wetting yourself from these promising figures.

If any of these thriving industries appeal and you’ve been having hard luck finding a position, now is the time to put your hard hat on and get out into the job market in full force.
