Whilst we're all well aware of the growth of British cask ales and microbreweries over the last few years, we thought it was high time to introduce the public to Greek beers. There’s no one better qualified to take people through the beers than drink expert Tom Harrow, as he hosts a beer pairing session at the Hungry Donkey January 26.

Hungry Donkey is a Greek Restaurant owned by ex-City trader Markos Tsimikalis who, with his brother, offer dishes inspired by their mother's cooking, located near Liverpool Street (my stomachs rumbling already).
The menu is modern, authentic and of course delicious and veggies and vegans are also looked after really well. Provenance is key to the quality of this really reasonably priced restaurant, in fact there's even a webpage of where the ingredients are sourced from.

The food is thoroughly authentic and on the 26th January (Tuesday) they are hosting a Beer Pairing event with drinks expert Tom Harrow from, amongst other sites, Honest Grapes & Wine Chap (he's also written for the FT).

Tickets are £40 per person + booking fee (total £43.39) and you can book in groups for a private tasting. It sure does look like a lot of fun.
