There are plenty of options for those who fancy a laugh in London this summer.

Hyde Park Comedy

Along with the stellar music acts performing at British Summer Time, the organizers have also put together a mini-comedy festival featuring some of the best comedians in Britain, which is shaping up to be one of the biggest comedy events of the season. Headlining the event are Russell Kane and Paul Chowdhry, who will bring together acts from The Comedy Store, Laughing Boy Comedy Club and many more to create four nights of laugh-out-loud comedy.

Udderbelly Festival

With its eight-week-long run halfway over, be sure to stop by to see all that the summer festival has to offer - including ace comedy. Featuring top notch acts like The Boy With Tape On His Face, award-winning Ardon O’Hanlon and master satirist Andy Zaltzman among many others, you’ll be sure to laugh your udder off. Check out the Best of the Comedy Store, the premier name in comedy in the UK and breeding grounds for some of the brightest rising stars in the stand-up circuit.

Balham Comedy Festival

Following its successful run last year, the Balham Comedy Festival is back and bigger than ever, doubling its run to eight days of comedy talent. With solo acts like Lee Nelson and Milton Jones as well as stellar Best of Banana Cabaret lineup taking place all over the venue, audiences will have the chance to see an assortment of performers, including quite a few Edinburgh previews.

Ealing Comedy Festival

Taking place over five nights, the Ealing Comedy Festival showcases some of the best and brightest comedians from London’s stand-up scene. To celebrate its 20th birthday, the festival will feature 20 comedians in each of the two shows during its opening weekend on the 12th and 13th. Comedians like Omid Djalili and Ed Byrne will keep the crowd laughing in the festival’s second week.

Camden Fringe

Taking place over four weeks in one of London’s most vibrant areas, the Camden Fringe  was created to provide visitors with a more cost-friendly alternative to the Edinburgh Fringe. Each year, the festival continues to include more and more experimental work so your imagination is sure to get a workout. The festival features a variety of performers from classic stand up to puppetry, there is something here for everyone.
