The Bristolian brings his latest show to this oh-so cool north London venue.

The last time we saw Watson he was hanging out of a tree at the End of the Road festival last summer – a request from the crowd that he duly accepted but promptly had second thoughts about after he became ever so slightly compromised in an ungainly manner betwixt trunk and twig.

But don’t let that tomfoolery suggest this show is anything other than serious and funny (and seriously funny). In Flaws, the former Welshman (his accent has veered over the years from the valleys to the other side of the Severn, from where he hails) picks apart his own faults and weaknesses for comedic affect, kind of a session on the counsellor’s couch only with an audience, and more dick jokes. He is frank, observant, and brutally honest, and shows why he is one of this country’s very finest comedians.

Pascoe deftly mixes some challenging thoughts and ideas about this crazy old world we live in with her smart and sharp comedic nous in this, her latest show. After wowing at Edinburgh last year, she pops up in London for a six-night residency performing this personal, passionate and often political hour. Her best yet.
