Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Richard Gadd is bringing his critically acclaimed show Monkey See Monkey Do to Soho Theatre this autumn following his hugely successful sell-out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Richard Gadd made a name for himself with smash-mouth, off the wall shows entailing drugs, sex, and gratuitous violence.

Gadd has decided to come clean about the man behind the public persona, the personal upheavals he had in his life that led to it and a bare-all look at the very real monkey he has had on his back for years. Monkey See Monkey Do is a fresh insight into mental illness in the modern age, perceived masculinity, and how something presented on the outside is not necessarily the truth on the inside.

Last year Waiting for Gaddot became the underground hit of the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe winning the Amused Moose Comedy Award for Best Show, as well as being nominated for a Chortle Innovation Award and a Malcolm Hardee Genius Award. It later transferred for a sell-out three week run at London’s Soho Theatre which has worked with Richard since his debut shows Cheese and Crack Whores and Breaking Gadd and supporting and co-presenting Monkey See, Monkey Do in Edinburgh this year.

He’s just been commissioned to write a pilot for Channel 4 and has a BBC development deal with Hat Trick Productions. He starred as the regular role of villainous Callum in hit E4 comedy Tripped, appeared in ITV’s Vicious Series 2, performed at Soho Theatre in Adam Riches’ Coach Coach as well as having sell-out runs of his own shows and is head comedy writer at Britain's third biggest social media outlet HelloU.

Soho Theatre is London’s most vibrant venue for new theatre, comedy and cabaret, producing and presenting the most original artists in Soho, in Edinburgh, and on tour in the UK and beyond.
