It's that time of year again, when the hype about the latest John Lewis TV advertisement sends the internet crazy… so it must mean Christmas is around the corner.

It also means Hyde Park in London, gets turned into a winter playground for all ages to indulge in fun for 6 weeks, yes, you read right 6 whole weeks to pop along and see for yourself what’s on offer in the capital.

For its 11th year and opening this Friday (17th November,) until New Year’s Day Monday, 2018, Winter Wonderland will have some old and new features around.

The Ice Rink is back. The huge area which stretches around the Victorian bandstand will be as ever popular with the skaters, with music played throughout the day. Accompanying this is the Magical Ice Kingdom, with a new theme this year – Deep Sea Adventure – which will be an underwater journey made with snow and ice.

Sure to be popular this year, is the new Cinderella on Ice with the Imperial Ice Stars. The story will be played out in the Winter Palace Theatre, with 18 skating stars showcasing fantastic skill and moves and choreography to tell this enchanting tale.

If all this wets your appetite drop by the popular Bar Ice, where you will be able to try a chilled cocktail within the surroundings of Ancient Greek mythology interior and ice sculptures.

If you’re not afraid of heights, then the favourite every year is the Giant Observation Wheel. The iconic light which goes across the London skyline is always popular with people who love the views.

Zippo Circus makes a return with a new afternoon show. Always a favourite for the families, the daytime show called ‘Zippos Christmas Circus’ will have an array of clowns and comedy along with illusions and dazzling displays, before it paths the way for the evening viewing of ‘Cirque Berzerk’ which going by the name, suggests some crazy antics from the Zippo crew with trapeze and motorbikes on high wire just some of the nights eye-opening stunts to offer.

Sooty, Angels Christmas Market and, of course, Santa Land with lots of free goodies for the kids, adds up to a brilliant day/night out over the Christmas season for all ages.

Open from 10am-10pm, entry is free to the WinterWonderland, but tickets for all events are available to buy at -   www.hydeparkwinterwonderland.com
