So much to do, so little money. Fret not – we’ve created a myTNT VIP members club to nab you huge savings.

London life can be bloody expensive – the average cost of a few bevvies down the pub is ample testament to that. So how to get the most out of life in the Big Smoke and all those awesome travel opportunities on your doorstep without going bankrupt?

TNT feels your pain – why live in this kick-ass city if you can’t afford to leave your flat and enjoy it? Which is why, to celebrate our 30th birthday this year, we’re launching a myTNT VIP members club, giving you the chance to do more in London and beyond for less. This includes everything from money off meals to exclusive savings on travel.

Food fight: tangle at La Tomatina with a discount

Sound too good to be true? Check this out: it’s £50 to join, but if you’re quick you’ll make your money back on the spot. The first 100 to sign up get a discount Cuisine Card worth £29.99, the first 50 to join also get a case of Bondi Beer worth £24, the first 30 to join also get free 8th Day Adventure membership worth £60 a year (it’s a sport, adventure and social club that takes you to hundreds of events annually), and everyone gets a free 24-page Albelli hardback photo album worth £15.95.

But whether you’re one of the first few to sign up or not, you’ll still make that money back in spades. Becoming a member gets you access to travel discounts that are offered only to you (that’s what it means to be a VIP, see?), plus the VIP package for our Travel Show (think more deals and queue jumping), free access to TNT events and free delivery of the mag to your door every week. We’ll also keep adding discount deals that are available only to you throughout the year. The bottom line: as a TNT VIP, you can’t fail to save loads of wonga.

Rise and stein: bag a bargain Oktoberfest break

Getting your mitts on a case of Bondi Beer is nothing to be sniffed at – CEO Ross Bennie is a Sydneysider born and bred and he brewed it, so he tells us, because he felt what was widely on offer in London “didn’t represent the best of Aussie beer” (not naming any names). Bondi even has its roots in Australian history: the Saaz hop in the recipe was the first hop to be brought over to Australia (from Germany) to make the very first Aussie beers.

It’s taken off quickly, starting in a microbrewery in Sydney to land on these shores just three years later. Sounds like a dream come true. Has it been?

“A guy from Sydney with his very own beer brand called Bondi?” Bennie laughs. “It’s every boy’s dream!”

And while there are plans to create a new brew already, Bennie reckons he’s already come up with the ideal bevvie. “It’s been designed with the irreverence of Oz in mind – it’s a fun beer, a party beer, a barbecue beer.” Just our type.

The Cuisine Card will help you soak up all that grog on the cheap, bagging you up to half off your bill at loads of London’s premier restaurants, including Planet Hollywood, Tiger Tiger, La Tasca and Shaka Zulu. Owner Justin Hodnett tells us it’ll even nab you money off two restaurants in Paris: “We’ve got a foothold in Europe now so watch this space.” So you might end up saving on meals on your travels, too. Bonus.
