Hoxton Arches to be transformed into a psychedelic inspired cosmic universe from 10-12 July.

Following last year’s hot and juicy tropicana experience, The London Illustration Fair is back with its fourth event Summer Festival: Psychedelia.

Spread across 10-12July, Hoxton Arches will be transformed into a psychedelic inspired cosmic universe, showcasing mind altering artworks from creative agencies, collectives, publications, textile designers, visual artists and print studios from around the UK.

Boasting 14 exhibitor stands, the festival will feature the work of Material Gallery, Belly Kids, Pirrip Press, Brothers of the Stripe, Ben Oakley Gallery, East London Printmakers, Not Another Bill, The Flood Gallery, plus many more.

Print pioneers Heretic Studio will be unveiling a selection of highly anticipated new works, as well designing the Summer Festival’s poster. Heretic’s hypnotic geometric patterns, kaleidoscopic landscapes and florescent colour palette makes them The London Illustration Fair’s ‘one to watch’ creative partner.

Alongside the exhibitor stands will be a psychedelic featured wall, exhibiting exclusive prints from a selection of handpicked artists. Keep you eyes peeled for the likes of Steve Thomas, Paul Blow, Saskia Pomeroy, Supermundane and Pâté. But hurry, each print is in an edition of 20 so once it’s sold, it’s gone for good!

Battling it out throughout the festival in a live 2D verses 3D illustration show down will be all-male illustration crew Brothers of the Stripe and graffiti collective Pen Pushers.

Hoxton Arches’ two outside areas will be brought to life by visual art and design collective Bread Collective and some of London’s finest mural wizards.

Additional psychic festivities include a ‘print your own Magic Mushroom’ screen printing workshop with Hello Print Studio, silent Wes Wilson auction, The London Illustration Fair print shop, street food vendors, live music, DJs and a fully stocked summer bar.

Kicking off the festival on Friday 10 with a late night bash will be the celestial sights and sounds of DJ Jo Eakins, playing an all-vinyl psychedelic rock and roll set accompanied with a liquid light show.

Bottom line? Whether you are an aspiring scribbler or a creative enthusiast, grab your cosmic shades (courtesy of Fancy Dress Boutique Only Fools and Peacocks) on arrival and prepare to open your mind because you’re in for one hell of a trip!
