Jack Bauer was unveiled in London today in a mural which depicted 24’s crime-fighting, terrorist-foiling hero using 1485 London postcards.

Artist Quentin Devine created the mural in 24 hours on a canvas that was 24 metres squared – can you see what they did there? – to mark the Blu-ray and DVD release of 24- Live Another Day starring Kieffer Sutherland. 

The creation was pieced together in Borough Market with Devine laying down one card every minute in order to meet the strict deadline. The mural started to take shape and once regular passers by began to emerge they were taken with the giant design and its imposing stature. 

The results of his meticulous work can be seen above but are most strikingly realised in the below time lapse video which shows how it all came together, Art Attack-style.
