Urban Food Fest’s street food and bar market extravaganza launches Saturday 1 August. The free entry event is open from midday to midnight.
The urban food fest street food trucks and stalls will be serving up hot dishes including, “El Bandito” chilli smoked wild game wraps with chimichurri sauce, “La Cucaracha” spicy pulled-pork with hickory smoked sauce, Mexican grilled Cantina black bean & avocado tostadas with chipotle chicken, “Speedy Gonzales” spicy pork, mango & jalapeño sandwiches , "La Bamba" honey and lime chicken Bao buns, “Sombrero” chorizo burgers with pepper jack cheese, crispy bacon & super-hot fries & in the V corner “Going Loco” vegan red pepper & spinach quesadillas. Hot chilli desserts include “Maracas” salted caramel & chilli filled churros sticks and Mayan dark chocolate and spice cookies.
The bar will be serving craft beers, cider, international wines and prosecco, alongside Mexican cocktails, think tequila and lots of it. We’ve been told to expect fiesta sounding tunes from live musicians and servers dressed in flamin’ hot costumes. Sounds like the team behind the event are pulling out the stops.
Open midday through to midnight every Saturday until 19 December at Euro Car Parks 162-167 Shoreditch High Street.
