Don’t go baking my heart: The Cutty Sark will be hooking up with Great British Bake Off champ John Whaite. Having stolen the nation’s heart with his perfect pastries, dessert don John is putting his own Valentine’s Day plans on hold to host an evening of sweet treats at The Cutty Sark. For just £55 per person, guests will be treated to a three-course dinner beside the Thames that includes a trio of desserts such as a passion fruit meringue tartlet; a chocolate, caramel and salted pretzel candy bar with honeycomb shard; and a mysterious ‘Love Potion Number 9’ mousse – rose and lychee mousse with raspberry ganache that promises to sweeten any date. Curry favour: Pan-Indian restaurant and cocktail bar Carom is spicing up Valentine’s Day with the launch of a bespoke menu designed to be shared by couples. Diners will enjoy a specially-created decadent Valentine’s Day set menu, and guests will be treated to a complimentary sharing Tea Time Tipple cocktail. The Valentine’s Day dinner is priced at £42.50, which includes a welcome Valentine’s cocktail, along with a selection of sharing dishes. Find out more here.

Dine in style: Soho performance venue, restaurant and bar Floridita are choosing to celebrate Valentine’s Day with an evening of decadent dining, live entertainment and cutting edge cocktails. Perfect for treating a loved one, the lively venue promises to deliver a Latin-American inspired three course meal, accompanied by live Cuban music throughout the evening. Priced at £49 per person, the Latin-American inspired evening will be available from 5.30pm until 11.45pm on February 14. Turn up the heat: A seductive menu of aphrodisiac dishes will be on offer in Hunter 486 to help spice things up between lovers on Valentine’s Day. The menu is priced at £30 for four courses, and will be available for the whole of February.
