For the 43rd year the charity arranges a massive bonfire and a £20k firework show as well as Heart FM’s live roadshow introducing some special guests. There will be plenty of food and drink and a few surprises.

This place seems obsessed with bonfire celebrations. Attracting around 20,000 people Lewes’s six bonfire societies carry out what they call ‘the most celebrated 5 November in the world’. Everything points at the little town where roads are shut off will end up in a chaos. A happy chaos with fireworks in the background.

Watch out as the townspeople according to old tradition carry flaming barrels through the streets. Locals are very proud of this tradition that no one remembers the origin of but add a 30ft bonfire and it will be with a trip to the South West.
