Ursula Martinez brings her investigation into confession, obsession, miscommunication, relationships, loneliness, sex, identity and the internet to Southbank Centre as part of the summer-long Festival of Love.

Martinez is a London-based writer and cult cabaret performer. Known for combining experimental theatre with comedy and striptease, she was an original cast member of circus cabaret groups La Clique and La Soirée and is an Olivier Award winner for her collaborative piece C’est Duckie with performance and event collective Duckie.

After film footage of her infamous magic striptease act Hanky Panky was illicitly posted online, Martinez received emails from viewers around the world wanting to get to know her better.

Using their often provocative responses as inspiration, My Stories, Your Emails combines stand-up, live art and character comedy to explore love in the 21st century and what happens when your private parts go public.

When: August 5 - 10

Where: Southbank Centre’s Purcell Room
