City Hunt brings history alive by taking players to the streets with only their smartphones and any previous local knowledge they have.
Teams set out to solve mysteries on a thrilling heritage treasure hunt. Following a series of challenging clues teams must navigate through this historic town solving some of Elephant & Castles most well-guarded secrets.
Bringing the traditional treasure hunt into the digital age, the website guides participants through the hunt while also tracking their progress, plus along the way revealing different nuggets of information about the area to help players on their journey.
High scoring players will be rewarded by a range of prizes, including a bike from Cycle PS, 50 tickets to the Cinema Museum (For the first 50 people to sign up), or a trip up the Shard and much more.
“City Hunt animates public spaces with the characters, tales and histories that make them special. We want local people to take pride in their area, for strangers to discover something they would never have known otherwise. Elephant & Castle has been changing at a rapid pace since the mobilisation of the regeneration masterplan; City Hunt is a chance to celebrate what’s already here and for the past not to be forgotten,” said City Hunt producer Rosie Slay.
The event is free.
