We know that Burn’s night isn’t here yet, but we thought we better let you know about this event now or you’re going to miss out.

Following the phenomenal sell out success of 2014 and 2015, Burns Baby Burns, England's largest Burns celebration, returns bolder and more flamboyant for 2016 from the heart of the most vibrant corner of East London - where whisky and poetry flow in glorious Hackney-esque harmony and the rafters and floorboards will be thunderously shaken, all in glorious celebration of Scotland's answer to Robert Burns.

On a mission to blow away the dust from more traditional Burns nights and truly honouring and celebrating the spirit of the great poet, Burns Baby Burns takes place on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 January over Burns' night weekend and is a massive immersive party night, bedecked in tartan and tam o'shanters, all held in passionate celebration of the late great orator, poet, songster and break dancing free radical Robert Burns.

The event will be hosted by the incomparable Scottish Bard and Wildman Phil Kay while the Ceilidh Liberation Front will provide the musical entertainment – all set in the resplendent glory of St. John's at Hackney Church.

Burns Baby Burns gives partygoers the best chance in London town to enjoy a multitude of toasts of fine scotch and whisky, while taking in the gorgeous views from the enormous balcony. With face painting and readings of Burns literature to get all fired up in style.

This will be followed by a three-course sit down banquet on tables as far as the 'aye can see. The clearing of the desserts sees the Ceilidh Liberation Front take centre stage, for the wildest ceilidh south of South Lanarkshire. Giant haggis will be piped, fire danced, drams raised, sporrans polished, lassies toasted, dosies do'ed, willow's stripped and homage paid in the most fantastical of styles to the bard of Ayrshire Rabbie Burns.

You’ll be invited to celebrate the finer things in life, culminating in a medieval rave uniting young and old in joyful abandonment. Guests are encouraged to wear traditional Scottish attire, underpants optional.

The Burns Baby Burns production company is borne from the exceptionally creative partnership of the renowned Nest Collective (offspring of the Magpie’s Nest – BBC Folk Club of 2010) long celebrated as the capital's most innovative folk club, and the legendary immersive event raconteur Adam Taffler.

Tickets: £35 - £49  (Three-course traditional Scottish feast, a complimentary dram of whisky, spectacle rituals of poetry, reading & song, ceilidh dancing into the night, entry to the VIP balcony whisky bar and a cuddle with Rabbie.
