In honour of St Patrick’s Day, The Gallery will be holding a ‘Whisky 101’ event with a distinctly Irish cadence to celebrate some of Ireland’s finest contemporary whiskies.

The Emerald Isle was once renowned for its whiskey-making prowess but in recent years Ireland’s whiskey legacy has faded, losing the limelight to Scotland, Japan and America. However, Ireland still possesses a rich variety of craft distillers and blenders, who are eager to bring out interesting new expressions of their unique landscape. To this end, The Gallery will be holding a ‘Whisky 101’ event in honour of St Patrick's Day on Wednesday 16 March  from 7-9pm with a distinctly Irish cadence to celebrate some of Ireland’s finest contemporary whiskies.

The evening will be hosted by The Gallery’s bar manager and resident whisky and beer enthusiast Daniel Pavey, alongside Dominic Tait who will be representing two Irish whisky brands: The Dubliner and The Liberties. The duo will lead guests on an exploration Dublin-based whisky blends, illuminating different drams that best encapsulate the character of the city.

Tickets cost £15 and  include three flights of whisky, three samples of beer and canapé pairings.
