You can travel between the two on a free bus (every 3 minutes, journey time 5 minutes; allow 20 minutes all up for the transfer). Mike
get the easybus they are the cheapest. I got my tickets for £5 but you can get them from £2. you can book online on their website www.easybus.co.uk
The best way to get to Gatwick from the Wimbledon area is to take the Croyden Tram Link to South Croyden. It's only about £1. Then take Firts Capital Direct to Gatwick for about £12 return. The entire trip is less than 40 minutes and not a slog at all.

Is it possible to get a non-express train to Stanstead and pay less??

I have never seen the point of taking the gatwick express when the southern rail trains run all the time and is only 5 mins slower. Its a lot cheaper too (about £9 one way).

Also, there is so much confusion when people arrive at Gatwick as they get on the southern rail train and have bought tickets for the gatwick express, but then have to pay the £9 one way on top. Try not to get caught out...
