Kiwi Mike Heard breaks the Guinness World Record for the most bungy jumps in 24 hours

The record attempt took place at AJ Hackett Bungy New Zealand at Auckland Bridge on Tuesday/Wednesday and has more than doubled the previous record set by Aussie Beau Retallick back in 2014.

Heard jumped 430 times in just 24-hours smashing his personal target of 200 jumps (which he managed in just 12 hours!) In fact, Heard had broken the previous record in just 4 1/2 hours - pretty impressive...

The record attempt was to raise money and awareness for the Mental Health Foundation - raising more than $7,000 by 3pm on Wednesday.

On breaking the record Heard said "It was quite emotional for me, I had a little cry, I've got my wife here and my best friend and work mates, a very humbling experience."

"We've all had someone who's been affected my mental health at some stage - so I'm just encouraging people to talk to people, have a chat and say that you're not a weirdo, you don't have a label written across your forehead."
