One of the radio presenters behind the royal prank call that had tragic consequences is back on air in Melbourne, after Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) axed his show.
Michael Christian is apparently presenting the 10am to noon shift on FoxFM, although the station's website doesn't directly name him as the presenter.
"We are happy to have Michael back on air," SCA CEO Rhys Holleran said in a statement.
"We have always supported our talent returning to work when appropriate and today marks that occasion for MC."
Christian and co-host Mel Greig, pictured together above, called the London hospital where Prince William's pregnant wife Kate Middleton was being treated for morning sickness. They pretended to be the Queen and Prince Charles while others pretended to be the Queen's Corgis.
The pair were put through to the Duchess of Cambridge's ward by nurse Jacintha Saldanha, who took her own life when the hoax was widely publicised in the British media.
The Indian-born nurse was found dead in her lodgings near King Edward VII Hospital in central London on December 7.
Christian and Greig have not spoken publicly since giving two TV interviews following Saldanha's death and their show, The Hot 30, has since been replaced by The Bump, hosted by Angus O'Loughlin.
As yet there is no word on where or when Greig will return to the airwaves, although in the same statement Holleran said: "We look forward to welcoming Mel Greig back when the time is right."
