Freemantle has decided to cancel national day over concerns that Aborigines may identify with it as invasion day.

In an unanimous vote Fremantle city councilors voted in favour of scrapping the Australia Day fireworks, on 26 January.

Critics are furious and consider the decision to be political correctness gone mad.

And businesses have raised concerns as the event attracted 50,000 people to Freemantle this year.

What do you think of the decision made by Freemantle city councillors?
