Aussie prime minister Julia Gillard has had another sandwich flung in her direction by a irreverent student during a visit to a school in Canberra, in what appears to have become a rebellious trend.

The second sanger attack follows a trend for bread-based hi-jinks as school kids apparently attempt to gain notoriety.

This time the sandwich actually grazed the PM's shoulder, during the visit to Lyneham High School- and she turned in surprise.

Earlier this month Marsden High School in Queensland suspended Kyle Thomson after he lobbed his lunch at the Prime Minister while she was visiting the campus.

Expect new laws to reintroduce the cane Down Under anytime soon - though Gillard laughed off the incident when questioned by reporters.
