Born Electric launched this year at London’s XOYO club. Now James Zabiela and other guest DJs are back for a Christmas special.

There will be some interesting electro and make sure be ready for an intense night and, possibly, lingering after-effects on Crimbo Day.

Wotever Xmas Party

If you want to go out on Christmas Eve itself, this party at gay club RVT – named best cabaret venue 2012 by the London Cabaret Awards – will be both untraditional and entertaining.

Expect to be belting out tunes to a singalong Christmas movie, then there are DJs, a secret Santa and a flamboyant host, Uber Mama: Maria.

This will be guaranteed to give you something to talk about on Christmas Day.

Boxing Day Extravaganza 

Marha Arches is a small but vibey venue under the railway arches near Bethnal Green.

It’s a sometime-karaoke bar, sometimes-Sunday cinema, but on Boxing Day you’ll be there for the party.

Book early as this place only has a capacity of 300.

Boxing Day Special

You’ll need to be a true party-head to hit this one, which promises 12 hours of music (until 10am, god help you) from house DJs including Bushwacka (Layo & Bushwacka), Luke Solomon and Mattia Sosti.

Egg’s Boxing Day offering, which will include live acts, dancers and an impromptu PA, is for hedonists only.

Popcorn Boxing Day Bash

This regular weekday club night will take things up a notch for Boxing Day, promising those with cabin fever the chance to dance for seven hours to high-energy house.

You’ll be visually entertained by choreographed dancers, gogo girls, costume artists, stage shows and carnival-inspired performance.

You can take a relative breather in the stage bar, which will be playing pop and “guilty pleasures”. It’ll be a night to remember.
