Japan has asked for the Fukushima nuclear exclusion zone to be classified as a no-go area for Pokemon after a character was discovered on the site.

Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings tested power stations in the area and found Pokemon on-site.

Tepco has requested that the developer prevents Pokemon appearing in and around areas affected in Fukushima in an attempt to discourage players from entering the dangerous site.

Meanwhile in Japan, officials have asked the game developer to remove PokeStops from the atomic bomb memorial park in Hiroshima. The city wants them deleted by August 6, the date of an annual ceremony to remember the victims of the atomic bomb.
