Kaitangata on the South Island of New Zealand has an unusual problem. Affordable housing and jobs and not enough people to fill them.

Residents are on a recruitment drive to get people to move into the town and discounted home buying and new job opportunities are all on offer.

Earlier this month a scheme was launched in Auckland to pay people on the social housing waiting list to move out of the city. Unemployment in the city is also at a high.
