Considering the spectacle about to kick off in the stadium, this London 2012 volunteer may be understating things with her dry approach to public relations.
The unidentified announcer was on duty directing customers to the entrance of the Olympic Stadium ahead of Friday night's spectacular Opening Ceremony - and displayed a dry wit as well as apparently a dry throat.
Her monotone drawl that was clearly popular with the folks filming her speech - and viewers on YouTube where she's racked up thousands of views – “I’d miss the Olympics just to stand outside and talk to her...or just listen” said user tibertans.
"She's hilarious! best of British humour," comments AAgilly.
As the ever-so-slightly weary announcer says "My mouth is dry I need some water but I'm still talking because I'm that happy I'm going to overcome it - that's my dedication I have for the role"
