Continuing a long line of odd celebrity baby names, the couple’s first child North was born last Saturday, five weeks early, and the birth certificate signed at Los Angeles’ Cedars Sinai hospital, according to celebrity news website TMZ.

The name North had been rumoured as a possibility for their child, but had been largely dismissed as a joke. It had been reported that Kim liked the name Kaidence, continuing her family’s like for names starting with ‘K’. And other rumours had suggested that Donda may have been a possibility too, after Kanye’s grandmother.

But North West it is, or 'Nori' for short, apparently.
