Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon unveiled a new Blur song, Under the Westway, at a gig in London last night.

Albarn and Coxon's three song set was part of the War Child's pre-Brit Awards fundraiser at the Shepherd's Bush Empire, headlined by Ed Sheeran.

The melancholic, Under the Westway, the first new material the band have released since 2010's Record Store Day special release "Fool's Day," brought their set to a close.

Coxon had teased Blur fans earlier in the day telling 6Music that "things were good, but there was no recording taking place at present".

The set will serve as a warm-up for the band who are due to perform at the Brit Awards on Tuesday night, where they'll pick up this year's Outstanding Contribution to Music gong.
