Aussie swimming hero Eamon Sullivan is expected to appear in court over charges alleging he was involved in a gopher joyride that went a little wrong.

Sullivan was drinking in Gowler, at a friend’s wedding on October 18, when it is it is alleged that Sullivan asked for a spin on a pensioner’s mobility scooter and that during this spin said scooter was crashed into a table and where it injured two people.

Sullivan’s management says: “Eamon was in Gowler for a friend’s wedding. Whilst it is apparent that an accident occurred there is not evidence that Eamon was the party responsible for any such accident.

“We are able to confirm that there are no police charges which have resulted from this accident.”
