Tommy Fleetwood held off the challenge from in-form Ryder Cup star, Justin Rose, to be the no.1 on the money list’s ‘Race to Dubai’ for 2017.

The tour ending championship held in Dubai, was won by Spain’s Jon Rahm, but it was Fleetwood, who even though finished 21st in the tournament, needed some help from Rose to justify top spot.

Rose, who had a thrilling finish to the season winning back-to-back titles, came in to Dubai full of hope and was in contention throughout the final day having had an overnight lead, to win both the title and the Race To Dubai.

But, he finished just outside the top 3 on Sunday, in 4th and with it, not enough prize money to overtake Fleetwood in the overall classification.

Rahm taking the honours after 3 days with Shane Lowry and Kiradech Aphibarnrat following closely behind.
