The Danish striker has been banned for one competitive game and is to receive a €100,000 fine for showing off a pair of branded underwear during his team's game with Portugal last week.
After scoring the opening goal, Bendtner pulled his shirt up and his shorts down to expose a pair of boxers with a betting firm's name emblazoned on them.
The Uefa control and disciplinary body has decided to ban the Arsenal striker who spent most of last season on loan at Sunderland, for a game, which includes the qualifiers for the 2014 word cup.
“It's just a pair of lucky boxer shorts that I used in the first game as well and have used before the tournament,” Bendtner said.
“I didn't know I was breaking any rules but I am aware of that now.”
