Burgess’ hopes of saving England’s World Cup hopes will be done so from the bench, it emerged today.
The Telegraph is reporting that the dual-international player has been dropped from Sunday morning’s match against the Wallabies, almost a year to the day that he won man of the match in South Sydney’s NRL premiership win over Canterbury.
Twenty six year old Burgess played the match with a fractured cheekbone and finished with the Clive Churchill medal.
