We’ve dubbed this Saturday (17 January) ‘Get in the queue Saturday’. Or what the travel industry euphemistically calls ‘Sunshine Saturday’.

It’s the day of the year when a record number of all manner of holidaymakers and travellers from greying cruisers to beardy backpackers will be jostling for the attention of a travel rep to help them pick their trip.

Big guns (not our sort of thing eh?) Thomson and First Choice alone expect 37,000 customers to book their holidays, with the peak in-store booking time among traditionalists being 2.30pm.

The top 10 holiday destinations of 2015 (not necessarily for TNTers though) are reckoned to be Majorca, Dalaman, Ibiza, Tenerife, Paphos, Menorca, Corfu, Sharm EL Sheikh, Rhodes and Tunisia.

Our tip? Browse, beer, book.

Skip the queues by browsing through the 2000-plus choices on www.tnttoursearch.com, open a can or two while you have a think, then just click to book at our guaranteed best price.

But then we would say that, wouldn’t we?
