Prince Philip has been taken to hospital as a "precautionary measure", according to The Associated Press.
The Duke of Edinburgh was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after falling ill during a stay in Balmoral, Scotland.
There were no more details available as regards the nature of Prince Philip's illness.
The news comes after the 91-year-old royal was hospitalised following the Queen's Diamond Jubilee river pageant on the Thames.
Prince Philip spent five nights in hospital thanks to a bladder infection, causing him to miss the remainder of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
He attended the London 2012 Olympics opening ceremony with the Queen and even toured the Olympic Park.
Last Christmas, the duke underwent a procedure to clear a blocked coronary artery. He was in hospital for four nights before the procedure was pronounced a success.
Get well soon, Pip!
