Millionaire space enthusiast Dennis Tito, the first paying passenger to travel to the International Space Station, has announced his plans to make a private venture to Mars in 2018.
Tito became the first paying passenger to visit the International Space Station and he has set his tasks on further afield with his announcement of plans to visit the red planet in 2018.
Further details will be announced next week at a news conference in Washington DC, when it will be revealed whether Tito or any other humans plan to be along for the 501-day ride to our nearest planet.
Tito paid $20million for a ride aboard a Russian spacecraft to the ISS.
