Kids aren’t the only people enjoying the snow – a thrill-seeking stuntman who holds the world record for Fastest Mobility Scooter has taken his souped-up scooter to the white stuff.

Decked out in tweed, Colin Furze from Stamford ploughed through the snow at 51 miles per hour and skidded through some tight turns.

The scooter won him the Guinness World Record for the Fastest Mobility Scooter when it reached 71.59 miles per hour.

The petrol-powered vehicle has five gears and the engine of a motorcross bike but, as stipulated by the Guinness Book of Records, the wheels and stability are unchanged.

But he says it’s easier to drive on snow than a normal road, because the steering is less responsive.

Furze also holds the record for World’s Longest Motorbike, and used to hold the record for World’s Largest Bonfire.

He has also been arrested for trying to ride his mobility scooter with a flame thrower attached to his back.
