Pixel measures just five inches from her paws to the top of her ears, and she's set to enter the Guinness World Records as the shortest cat that has ever lived.

She hasn't officially been measured by industry bods, but her owner, Tiffani Kjeldergaard, is very sure that Pixel will take the prize.

The California resident owns lots of munchkin cats, including Pixel's mum, Fizz Girl, who broke the previous record in 2012 when she was measured at six inches.

Ms Kjeldergaard loves her tiny felines, but she admits that their size can be an issue.

"We have to move very slowly when we walk so we don't step on anybody," she said, speaking to The Express. "Every one of them has been stepped on or kicked once because it's just what happens in a house of Munchkin cats."

We wish you the very best of luck, Pixel - and hope that you smash the record.
