One Arizona woman was so upset about the result of last week’s US election that she ran over her husband in her car.
Holly Solomon, 28, from Mesa, was seen arguing with her husband Daniel in a car park before she ran over him. Daniel tried to run away but Holly pinned him under the car.
The victim was rushed to the Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center, he remains in a critical condition.
Police Sergeant Jesse Sanger explained: "According to Daniel, Holly believed her family was going to face hardship as a result of President Obama's re-election."
Though Daniel’s vote wouldn’t have made much of a difference at all to the election. Obama won the state of Arizona by around 200,000 votes.
Holly was not under the influence of drugs or booze during the crime.
She was later charged with aggravated assault and domestic violence.
