Yep, you read that right - the world's most pierced man has been denied entry into Dubai because of fears he may be practising "black magic".

Rolf Buchholz made the extraordinary claim on his Twitter and facebook page, writing: "At the end I got an answer why I can't enter Dubai: The Immigration thought I am Black Magic. Stupid people!!!"

He was due to make an appearance at a circus-themed show at Cirque le Soir nightclub but was turned away by the Gulf State.

The 53-year-old German has a record 453 piercings, many of them on his face, and two horn implants on his forehead.

“Airport authorities stated they could not allow him to enter the country due to security reasons,” a source in the UAE told the local 7Days newspaper.

The Associated Press said he was initially allowed through immigration, but was later stopped prior to customs and put on a flight to Istanbul.
