A Catholic priest accused of molesting children at a New Zealand school blamed god for 'making us this way, and it's his fault' according to court documents.
David Edwin Rapson, is facing charges of abusing boys at Salesia College Rupertswood in Sunbury, Victoria where he was a teacher.
In one alleged incident Rapson is said to have gone around the school's infirmary lifting up bedsheets making derogatory comments about the boys' genitalia.
Another priest is said to have entered the room while this was happening, asking Rapson what he was doing, to which he is alleged to have replied: "You know what we do here."
The other priest, it is claimed, told him to "resist", before Rapson said: "God made us this way and it's his fault."
A boy alleges that Rapson then molested him.
Rapson is facing charges of rape and four counts of indecent assault.
The case continues.
