Michael Clarke scores Australia's first Ashes 2013 century with Steven Smith in support to take control on day 1.

Morning session

Australia win the toss and decide to bat. David Warner, Nathan Lyon and Mitchell Starc in for  Phillip Hughes, Chris Rogers cruises to 50, before Shane Watson fell for 19 to Tim Bresnan, not LBW though. Usman Khawaja is given out caught behind, reviews it, video shows he didn't hit it, but he's givven anyway.

Afternoon session

Rogers gone for 84, LBW to Swann. Michael Clarke fought out a 50. Steve Smith survived a couple of close calls as England blew their reviews.

All Clarke and Smith, as they push home the advantage for the first time in the series. Clarke and Smith survive - only courtesy of the umpire in Smith's case. Clarke become first Aussie centurian of the series, while Smith added another 50 to his record. Aus 3-303 Clarke 125no, Smith 70no
